If you're worried about someone else

If someone seems overwhelmed, talks about not wanting to be here, feels like a burden, or doesn't seem safe, take it seriously.

Stay calm. Listen without judgment. Help them contact emergency services, a crisis service, a health-care professional, or someone they trust.

If there's immediate danger, don't leave them alone. Contact emergency services or local crisis support.

Research has found an association between workplace bullying and suicidal thoughts. A systematic review reported that most included studies showed a positive association, and a later review and meta-analysis found higher odds of suicidal thoughts and behaviours among people exposed to workplace bullying. This is an association, not a prediction of any individual's risk. If you're struggling, please reach for support now.
